TOPIC: "Fraud in the dental office - how it happens, what to do, how to recover."

The seminar will be presented in three parts:

• Dr. Wyman will provide information on how embezzlement occurs, how to discover it and what to do and what not to do if you suspect that fraud or embezzlement of any form has occurred in your office.
• Mr. Wilton will then outline what the legal ramifications of theft and employee responsibility are with respect to College, insurance companies, police, and outline the do’s and don’ts of handing the problem.
• Dr. Roth, a psychologist, will discuss the devastating emotional cost to the dentist whose trust has been abused, and how to recover his or her self-esteem and move on to a life of properly placed trust in other, reliable staff.
